This zany comedy is one of the legendary Harold Lloyd’s few talkies. He’s most well known for his silent masterpieces, including Safety Last! (1923). In this wonderful laugher he plays a milkman who improbably becomes a boxing star. The great Adolphe Menjou plays the unscrupulous manager who tries to manipulate him. This classic was later remade as a musical called The Kid from Brooklyn (1946), with Danny Kaye, but this version is closest to the original Broadway play, and is a delightful speaking role for Lloyd.
